Eight Sceneries Pavilion

The Eight Sceneries Pavilion is located in Bajing Park in the northern part of Ganzhou City. It was built during the Jiayou era (1056–1063) of the Northern Song Dynasty. It got its name after Magistrate Kong Zonghan constructed the pavilion, painted the “Eight Views of Qianzhou,” and invited the poet Su Shi to compose poems based on the paintings. Over the dynasties, many literati left inscriptions here.

Built against the city wall, the Three-story pavilion stands 28.5 meters tall and covers a total area of 574 square meters. With its red walls and green-tiled roof, the structure is majestic and magnificent, perched on the ancient city wall where the Zhang and Gong Rivers converge. From the top, visitors can enjoy views of emerald waters, white sails, lush trees, and red buildings, while a refreshing river breeze greets them, creating an uplifting experience.
