Quanzhou West Lake Park

Quanzhou West Lake, located at the southern foot of Qingyuan Mountain, is an important part of the northwest plain flood discharge and drainage project. The lake lies in a low-lying plain area, where in the past, during major floods, water was mainly discharged through natural water surfaces and rice fields, commonly referred to as "Northwest Plain."

The total lake area is 100 hectares, with a water surface area of 82.28 hectares, making it the largest artificial lake in Fujian Province. The entire park consists of four islands, three bridges, three long causeways, and three water areas. Quanzhou West Lake Park is adorned with blooming flowers, shimmering waters, leaping fish and shrimp, and egrets perching along the shores. The harmonious blend of lake and mountain scenery creates a classical lakeside garden with a fine ecological environment within the urban area of Quanzhou.

Among them, the Tung Blossom Pavilion is a landmark building of Quanzhou West Lake Park, modeled after one of China’s famous towers, the Kuixing Tower. It is five stories high, with the lower two floors built from granite platforms and the upper part constructed of wood.

Music fountain show times at Quanzhou West Lake Park:

The music fountain is regularly open on weekends and major holidays. The opening hours for the West Lake Park are: every Friday from 18:30–19:00 and 20:00–20:45; Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays from 09:00–09:30, 10:00–10:30, 15:00–15:30, 16:00–16:30, 18:30–19:00, and 20:00–20:45.
