Located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Citong Road and Jinhuai Street in Fengze District, Quanzhou City, Citong Park is a district-level leisure and entertainment park covering an area of 3.67 hectares. With an investment of 14 million yuan from the project department, construction began in 1995 and the park was completed and opened to the public in 1997. The park enjoys a suitable location and convenient transportation, making it a great place for leisure and recreation.

The park makes full use of landscaping elements such as flowers and plants, trees, water bodies, architectural features, and terrain treatment. By combining natural and formal design approaches and using garden techniques such as piling rocks and managing water, it blends contemporary features with traditional essence to create an elegant and distinctive garden landscape. In particular, the park utilizes plant arrangements, featuring the citron tree — the iconic symbol of Quanzhou, a historic and cultural city — as the main tree species, supplemented by banyan, mango, and pigeonberry trees. It integrates trees, shrubs, flowers, and grasses, achieving artistic effects in plant landscaping through rich spatial layers and vibrant colors.

The park features scenic spots including “Ripples and Clear Tones,” “Ink Pond Reflecting the Moon,” “Screened Corridor Greeting the Morning Sun,” “Winding Stream for Floating Cups,” “Spoon Lake for Fish Viewing,” “Open Fields and Returning Herds,” and “Bamboo Path Leading to Seclusion.” The park boasts uniquely shaped rocks, lifelike small features, blooming flowers in vivid competition, lush green grass, and crystal-clear streams.
