Qingyuan Mountain Ruixiang Rock

Ruixiang Rock is one of the main attractions in the "Whispers of the Valley" scenic area of the Qingyuan Mountain Scenic Spot.

The rock chamber of Ruixiang Rock stands atop Tianzhu Peak. This wooden-style stone structure houses a Song Dynasty stone carving of the Sakyamuni Ruixiang, carved directly from the natural cliff face. The statue stands 4 meters tall and is 1.5 meters wide, depicted in a standing posture. It is now listed as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Opposite Tianzhu Peak is Luohan Peak, which features grotesque and uniquely shaped rocks resembling solemn and lifelike luohan (arhats), creating the magical scene of "Five Hundred Arhats" paying homage to Sakyamuni.

Passing through the cliff cave on the left side of the rock chamber, you will see three huge rocks that resemble three large pythons poking their heads out of the cave — hence the name "Three Pythons Emerging from the Cave." On the platform of the mountain cliff, there used to be a "Wangzhou Pavilion," from which visitors could overlook the scenic beauty of the ancient city.
