Ceylonese Cemetery

The Ceylonese Cemetery is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Qingyuan Mountain Ceylonese Cemetery is located on Shicuo Mountain in Renfeng Community, Donghu Subdistrict, Fengze District, Quanzhou City.

The Ceylonese Cemetery has yielded two large and four small ancient tombs of the Shi family, three tombs of other surnames, as well as stone carvings such as "Shijia Pit" and "Wenhuang Shijia Pit Stone Bridge." The two large ancient tombs are the joint burial sites of the first to third generations of Shi ancestors and the tomb of the fourth-generation ancestor, Yu Zhai Gong.

The Ceylonese Cemetery serves as crucial physical evidence for studying the historical friendly relations between China and Ceylon. It is also a rare and valuable cultural relic for researching the Maritime Silk Road since the 14th century. Additionally, it provides reliable material evidence for members of the Shi family from Taiwan seeking their roots in Fujian, making it an important Taiwan-related cultural heritage site.
