The Jigong Shangyi Archway is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Location: Fengshan Community, Donghu Subdistrict, Fengze District, Quanzhou

Introduction: Built in the 54th year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1715), this archway was erected to commend the charitable and disaster-relief efforts of Li Sen, the eighth-generation ancestor of Li Guangdi, who held the positions of Grand Secretary of the Wenyuan Pavilion and Minister of Personnel. The archway is a four-pillared, three-bay, five-story, hip-and-gable roofed, memorial gate-style structure. It stands 10.95 meters tall, is 9.74 meters wide, extends 3.43 meters deep across its four pillars, and covers a floor area of 33.44 square meters. The plaque inscribed with the words “Jigong Shangyi Archway” (“Archway for Zeal in Public Service and Righteousness”) was handwritten by Emperor Kangxi. The railing panels of the archway are engraved with an essay by Li Guangdi.

Protected area: Extends 15 meters outward to the east and west, and 20 meters outward to the south and north.

In 2009, the Jigong Shangyi Archway was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Fengshan Community in Donghu Subdistrict, located at the eastern gateway of downtown Quanzhou, stretches from Shigongling and Pingshan Road in the east to Shaolin Road in the west, from the eastern section of Huxin Street and Shengmu Road in the south to Dongyueqian Street, Quanzhou Prison, Dongyue Mountain, Shangkeng Mountain, Luyuan Mountain, and Caicuo Mountain in the north. National and provincial highways pass through the area. It is a typical urban-rural fringe zone, covering a total area of 1.5 square kilometers.
