The Guishan Tourism Scenic Area is situated in the northeastern part of Mingxi County, Sanming City, about 15 kilometers from the city center. To the north, it faces the national forest park—Baodugu—across the water. The scenic area spans a total area of over 40 square kilometers and includes the Guishan Landscape Zone, Water Amusement Zone, Chestnut Base Ecological Park, Thousand-Mu Sightseeing Peach Orchard, and Peach Orchard Villa Service Area. Within the scenic area, cultural landmarks and natural landscapes are interspersed and complement each other, showcasing the long history and splendid culture of the Guishan tourist destination.

Guishan gets its name from its mountain shape, which resembles a mother and baby turtle lying on their stomachs. The mountain stands at an elevation of 331 meters, and visitors can reach the summit by climbing the steps. At the top, ancient cypresses tower overhead, and historical relics are scattered throughout. Attractions such as the Guanyin Hall wood, mummy ancient tombs, large and small fortress gates, the Bagua Garden, Eagle Stone, natural caves, Camel Hump Rock, and Dripping Water Cave captivate visitors. The eastern and western sides of the mountain are sheer cliffs, nearly impossible to climb. Around the mountain, one can still faintly see thousands of ancient flagpole holes and bullet marks from when Senggelinqin led his troops in an attack on the summit of Guishan. The foothills and slopes are covered with natural greenery such as peach trees, cherry trees, and chestnut trees. With its natural oxygen-rich environment and unique landscape, the Guishan Scenic Area, as a newly developed destination for tourism, sightseeing, and leisure, eagerly welcomes your visit.
