The Lingxing Gate of Longhu Confucius Temple

The Lingxing Gate of Longhu Confucius Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

The Lingxing Gate of Longhu Confucius Temple is located in Longhu Village, Hanxian Town, Mingxi County, dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

Description: Built in the sixth year of the Hongzhi reign during the Ming Dynasty (1493) and renovated in the nineteenth year of the Wanli reign (1591), it faces south and consists of three parallel stone memorial archways. These archways feature a double-pillar, single-bay, flush-gable structure, with drum stones placed on the front and rear sides of the pillars. The gate has a total height of 5.02 meters, with the main beam on the front side carved in relief—featuring dragons playing with a pearl at the top and the three characters “Lingxing Gate” inscribed in clerical script on the middle section.

Protected area: Extending 20 meters outward from each side of the building.

In 2018, the Lingxing Gate of Longhu Confucius Temple was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
