Xiabianxia Tourist Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and the first-of-its-kind in China to integrate chivalry culture with a landscape setting. The area is located in Tangchuan Township, Youxi County, Fujian Province, adjacent to Jinsha Town, Minqing County, just 78 km from Fuzhou and only a 1.5-hour drive away. Covering an area of 8,800 acres, the project has a total investment of approximately two billion yuan. It consists of four scenic zones — Jianghu (Rivers and Lakes), Xia (Heroes), Lulin (Green Forest), and Shijing (Marketplace), three hotel components: boutique hotels, the Heroic Warriors’ Barracks, and high-end resorts, plus two key transportation hubs: the Pinghu Bamboo Raft and the Alpine Cable Car. It achieves a perfect fusion of chivalry culture with high-gorge lakes, creating the world’s only real-life “heroes’ realm.” It is a comprehensive tourism destination that combines sightseeing, leisure vacationing, and interactive experiences.

Currently, three major scenic areas have been developed: “Xia Valley,” “Jianghu,” and “Lulin.” Among them, the over-thousand-foot-high interactive waterfall for heroes, the nearly thousand-foot-high suspended glass skywalk, and the high-speed water slide through the green forest are all pioneering projects in China. In addition, the heroic performance interactive show, which blends martial arts stunts with high-tech lighting, sound, and special effects, opens a time tunnel for visitors to experience “flashing blades and shadowy swords, along with heroic valor and tender emotions.”

Jianghu Scenic Area

This is the first core scenic area of Xiabianxia Tourist Area. Located on the source of the Min River — Gaizhou Stream — drifting through Jianghu offers a seamless blend of water and sky, with majestic mountains like paintings and clouds billowing gloriously. Listening to the boatmen chat about the ways of the Jianghu, you'll be awestruck by the “natural root carving museum” along the shores with their ever-changing forms, intrigued by mysterious islands, and stunned by the uniquely artistic dead trees in the middle of the lake that exude a chivalrous beauty. You may even come across elderly anglers reminiscent of Jiang Taigong fishing, instantly evoking a sense of “remaining in the Jianghu and forgetting worldly affairs.”

Xia Valley Scenic Area

Xia Valley is lush with trees and covered in wildflowers, maintaining a constant temperature of 20°C year-round, making it warm in winter and cool in summer — a true haven for winter escapes and summer retreats. A series of martial arts adventure challenges await, such as water ziplining, stepping on plum blossom piles, and crawling through caves, giving you the thrill of bravely venturing through Xia Valley and conquering each challenge. Occasionally, you might encounter “heroes” from the writings of Jin Yong or Gu Long, or even find yourself stepping into their shoes to live out a “hero’s fantasy” and fulfill your own “chivalrous dream.”

Lulin Scenic Area

This is the third core scenic area of Xiabianxia Tourist Area. Heroes, waystations, mountain strongholds, and lodges are tucked among the ancient, intertwined trees of a deep and vast primeval forest. Beneath a spectacular waterfall even more grand than those of Mount Lu, thrilling martial arts competitions take place. Here, every visitor becomes a hero in a martial arts world where you can learn combat skills from authentic Shaolin disciples and compete for the title of Martial Arts Alliance Leader. The 138-meter-drop, 1,680-meter-long Lulin Speed Water Slide takes riders twisting through mountains and waters, screaming all the way. Meanwhile, the glass skybridge, suspended nearly 300 meters high and spanning almost 300 meters, is so thrilling that crawling across it feels like an act of glory.
