Xicheng Lujia Courtyard is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Location: Tuanjie Village, Xicheng Town, Youxi County

Introduction: Initially built in the late Qing Dynasty as the ancestral home of the Lu family, it was expanded in the 16th year of the Republic of China (1927). This two-courtyard brick-and-wood structure consists of an outer moat, a military drill ground, a mountain gate, enclosing walls, a main courtyard, an entrance hall, a central hall, a rear wing courtyard, the main hall, a rear flower terrace, as well as east and west side wings, watchtowers, and barracks. It spans 65 meters from north to south and 57 meters from east to west, covering a total area of 9,984 square meters with a built-up area of 3,825 square meters. In July 1934, the Red Army vanguard unit led by Su Yu on its way north to resist Japan stayed in the Lujia Courtyard, leaving behind a large number of Red Army slogans.

Protected area: To the east up to the drainage ditch behind the Xicheng Town Cultural Station, to the south up to the wall boundary of the Luo Family Fishpond, to the west up to 16 meters west of the enclosing wall at the foot of Fengxing Mountain, and to the north up to the wall boundary of the old meeting hall of the town government.

In 2009, Xicheng Lujia Courtyard was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Tuanjie Village: Located in the suburbs, Tuanjie Village is the central village of Xicheng Town. It is 5 kilometers from the county seat. The under-construction Xiangtang–Putian Railway passes through 2 kilometers of the village, and the Youxi Railway Station of the Xiangtang–Putian Railway is situated at the large pond in the village. The upcoming Xiamen–Shaxian Expressway will also pass through the village, making it a future transportation hub for Youxi County. The village currently has 6 natural villages, 16 village groups, 618 households, and a total population of 2,440, including 1,255 males and 1,185 females.
