Huanglin Chongfu Temple

Huanglin Chongfu Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Huanglin Chongfu Temple is located in Huanglin Village, Tangchuan Township, Youxi County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Originally built in the 16th year of the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty (1503) and reconstructed in the 48th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1783), it covers a construction area of approximately 887.6 square meters. The complex includes a gate tower (two-story), lower hall, theater stage (two-story), viewing stands, courtyard, main hall, rear building, and rear flower terrace. The gate tower has three bays in width and four pillars in depth, with a post-and-lintel wooden frame and a triple-eaved hip-and-gable roof; the theater stage has three bays in width and two pillars in depth, featuring a raised-beam wooden structure with a hanging gable roof; the main hall has three bays in width and six pillars in depth, with outer eaves corridors on both sides and a mixed post-and-lintel and raised-beam wooden frame; the rear building is two stories, with three bays in width and five pillars in depth, and an octagonal domed caisson ceiling on the second floor supported by four-layer bracket sets, topped with a hip-and-gable roof.

Protection boundary: Extend 15 meters outward from the surrounding walls.

In 2018, Huanglin Chongfu Temple was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Huanglin Village: Huanglin Village is the second-largest administrative village in Tangchuan Township, Youxi County, Sanming City. It is located in the eastern part of Youxi County at an altitude of 600 meters, with an average annual temperature of 15–19°C. A stream in the village, formed by the convergence of 12 tributaries, runs through the entire village for nine kilometers. It borders Xiaying, Tangsan, and Zhufeng villages to the east, Wanjing and Changmen villages of Zhongxian Township to the south, Anyang Village of Taixi Township to the west, and Wuping Natural Village of Xiwu Township to the north. It is 8.3 kilometers from the township government seat and 50 kilometers from the county seat. The village has a total of 19 kilometers of roads (including 13 kilometers of paved concrete roads).
