The former site of the Political Department of the Third Red Army Corps at Keke Residence is located in Meiyin Village, Meixian Town, Youxi County, dating back to 1934.

Description: Built during the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty (1796–1820), it features a two-courtyard layout, covering an area of approximately 956.8 square meters with a built-up area of about 1410.2 square meters. On August 11, 1934, Luo Binghui, commander of the Ninth Red Army Corps of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army, led his troops from Datian into Youxi’s Jiemian area via Qikou. Passing through this location, they used brushes to write over 30 slogans on the walls of Keke Residence, including “Only the Soviet can save China,” “Farmers, rise up to overthrow the landlords and distribute land,” and “The Red Army is the armed force of workers and peasants.” These were signed “Red Army Unit Yi 8 (Propaganda).”

Protected area: Extending southwest to the inner edge of the village road, northeast to the mountain boundary, northwest to the eaves of existing residential buildings, and southeast an additional 15 meters outward.

In 2018, the former site of the Political Department of the Third Red Army Corps at Keke Residence was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Meiyin Village: Located downstream of the Youxi River, Meiyin Village is 14 kilometers from the county seat and faces the town government across the river. The Youxi connection line of the Fuzhou–Nanning Expressway runs through the entire village. It administers five natural villages, 21 villager groups, and has a population of 716 households totaling 2817 people, including 1479 males and 1338 females, with 1248 of them being of working age.
