The Xidong Houshanping Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Songxi County.
The Xidong Houshanping Site is located in Xidong Village, Xidong Township, Songxi County, and dates back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties.

Xidong Village: Xidong Village in Xidong Township is nestled among mountains, boasting an outstanding ecological environment with an average elevation of 300 meters. It lies to the southwest of Luanshan Mountain (also known as Longtou Mountain), the highest peak in the county at an altitude of 1,349 meters. The Xidong Stream, which originates from Longtou Mountain, flows from north to south through the middle of the village, meandering through narrow valleys in the hilly terrain before eventually joining the Songxi River. The main soil types are red soil and yellow soil, both deep and fertile. The area has a subtropical monsoon humid climate, with distinct seasons, abundant light and heat resources, and plentiful rainfall—ideal conditions for growing temperature- and moisture-loving crops.
