Xiadian Shuimei Bridge

Xiadian Shuimei Bridge is a cultural heritage protection site of Songxi County.

Xiadian Shuimei Bridge is located on a small stream about 100 meters southwest of Xiadian Village, Zudun Township. It is a single-arch stone bridge built during the Qing Dynasty, with a bridge deck measuring 14.3 meters in length and 4.3 meters in width, covering an area of 61.49 square meters. The protected area extends 10 meters outward in all directions.

Xiadian Shuimei Bridge has been designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection site.

Xiadian Village: Zudun Township’s Xiadian Village is situated in the mountainous region of northern Fujian, bordering Xipan Village to the east, Huaqiao Township to the south, Dengshan Village to the west, and Shangdian to the north. The village administers five natural villages (Yanxia, Huapojia, Longtanghou, Dayuanlong, and Xiadian) and nine villager groups, with 247 households and a total population of 1,022. The village covers a total area of 6.8 square kilometers, including nearly 3,000 mu of forested land, 350 mu of bamboo forest, and 1,200 mu of arable land. Xiadian Village is located at the site of the Zudun Township government and serves as the political, cultural, and economic center of the area.
