The ruins of Zhanlu Academy (Yang Family Study Room) are a cultural heritage site protected by Songxi County.

The ruins of Zhanlu Academy (Yang Family Study Room) are located at Xuexian Hermitage on Zhanlu Mountain in Chaping Township, Songxi County — an Yuan Dynasty site measuring approximately 25 meters in length, 20 meters in width, and covering a built-up area of about 500 square meters. According to the county annals: Zhanlu Academy was built by Yang Ying during the Yuan Dynasty. In the sixth year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1801), a fire destroyed the site, leaving only ruins, along with a single golden bell and one steel furnace, which were preserved by the Yang family of Wutun. In April of the eleventh year of the Tongzhi reign (1872), Yang Zhongming and others raised funds from their clan to rebuild the structure. In the nineteenth year of the Republic of China (1930), it was rebuilt again and renamed “Yang Family Study Room.” After 1952, due to lack of maintenance, the study room gradually fell into disrepair. Today, only remnants of some wall foundations and a few sections of walls remain at the academy site.
