The Jinghai Primary and Secondary School Labor Skills and Science Education Base is a science education base.

The Jinghai County Primary and Secondary School Labor Skills and Science Education Base in Tianjin is affiliated with the Jinghai County Education Bureau. It is mainly responsible for comprehensive practical activities for eighth-grade junior high school students and second-year senior high school students, military training for first-year senior high school students, and science education for all primary and secondary school students in the county.

The base covers an area of 600 mu, including a teaching and living area of 60 mu, with a building area of 9,600 square meters. The construction investment exceeded 20 million yuan. It has established the Jinghai Education Museum (which includes six sub-museums: the Jinghai County History Museum, the Jinghai Education Museum, the Agricultural Tools Museum, the Teachers and Students’ Calligraphy and Painting Museum, the Daily Necessities Museum, and the Jinghai Photography Exhibition), the Legal Education Museum, science activity rooms, handicraft workshops, bean product workshops, Party history rooms, pottery rooms, cooking rooms, polymer clay rooms, seal carving rooms, multimedia classrooms, and national defense education rooms. These facilities form five major educational functional zones integrating science education, Party history education, labor skills practice education, national defense education, and agricultural demonstration education, comprising a total of twenty comprehensive practice, science education, and military training venues (classrooms).

The base has been successively named as a National Advanced Quality Education Base, a National Advanced Unit for Labor and Technical Education in Primary and Secondary Schools, an Advanced Unit for Military Training Work of the Beijing Military Region, a Tianjin Patriotic Education Base, a Tianjin National Defense Education Base, an Advanced Unit of the Tianjin Primary and Secondary School Production Practice Education Base, an Advanced Unit for Student Military Training Work, an Advanced Unit for Carrying Out National Defense Education, a Red Flag Unit of the Jinghai County Education System, and a Police Training Base of the Jinghai Branch of the Tianjin Public Security Bureau. It has been approved for many consecutive years as the Military Training Base for Senior High School Students in Tianjin.

The base actively participates in large-scale science popularization campaigns such as “National Science Popularization Day,” “Science and Technology Activity Week,” and “Oppose—.” It has organized science exhibitions on topics such as “Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction,” “AIDS Prevention,” and “Infectious Disease Control,” and has conducted specialized training sessions on subjects like “Winter Jujube Grafting,” “High-Quality Corn Planting,” and “Organic Vegetable Cultivation.”
