Scenic Introduction:

The scenic area is a medium-sized reservoir with unique natural and cultural landscapes and rich tourism resources. The Yanghou Reservoir Water Conservancy Scenic Area is centered on the man-made lake of the medium-sized Yanghou Reservoir and the mysterious grand canyon. Terrestrial landscape interfaces extend around the lake, creating the “Twelve Scenic Spots of Yanghou.” Here, water views, village scenes, and surrounding mountain scenery complement one another. Mountain ranges, waterways, human elements, and cultural heritage converge in perfect harmony, forming a beautiful and evocative traditional Chinese ink painting landscape. It is an ideal destination for eco-friendly leisure and sightseeing.

Supported by the distinctive scenery around Yanghou Reservoir and Chenjiashan Grand Canyon, six small mountain villages have been built around the lake. Each village sits against the mountain and faces the water, featuring traditional residential architecture of northern Fujian—with white walls and gray tiles—surrounded by undulating terraced fields, tea plantations, and orchards, including pear, peach, and bamboo groves. From a distance, the green bamboo and trees blend harmoniously. A 16-kilometer scenic greenway encircling the lake connects the various villages. Surrounded by peaks, with shimmering lake views, mountain scenery, and pastoral landscapes, these villages are idyllic and perfect for living.

Yanghou Village: Located on the northern side of Yushan Town, Yanghou Village is 8 km from the town center. The village covers a land area of 34.3 square kilometers, including 330 mu of paddy fields and 43,403 mu of forest land—among which there are 13,120 mu of bamboo forests, 3,874 mu of chestnut forests, 9,087 mu of timber forests, and 11,313 mu of ecological conservation forests.
