The Tomb of Grand Tutor Fengle is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

The Tomb of Grand Tutor Fengle is located in Fengle Village, Xudun Town, Jian'ou City, dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

Description: Also known as the tomb of Grand Tutor Yang Rong of the Ming Dynasty and his wife, it was built during the Zhengtong era of the Ming Dynasty (1436–1449). The tomb faces southeast and is situated northwest, covering an area of 625 square meters. The burial chamber was looted in ancient times, but stone figures, stone horses, stone sheep, a spirit way stele, and a phoenix-patterned epitaph still remain. The left spirit way stele has a damaged top, with a remaining height of 1.88 meters and a width of 0.88 meters. It stands on a turtle pedestal, and the inscriptions have been eroded and are no longer clear. The right spirit way stele features a coiled dragon relief at the top and bears the seal script inscription “Epitaph for Madam Liu, Mother of Yang, Honored as First-Rank Lady.” Yang Rong (1371–1440) served as Grand Secretary of the Jinxin Hall and Minister of Works, and was posthumously granted the title of Grand Tutor.

In 2013, the Tomb of Grand Tutor Fengle was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: An additional 30 meters outward from the perimeter of the tomb.

Fengle Village: Located 11 kilometers from the town center, Fengle Village in Xudun Town is a central village in Nanping City’s new rural construction initiative and a model site for the “22336” grassroots Party building program. The village consists of seven natural villages, twelve villager groups, 745 households, and 2,705 residents, with nine Party subgroups and 77 Party members. The total land area is 29,246 mu, including 3,403 mu of arable land and 20,151 mu of forested land. Villagers mainly engage in farming and business, with employment at local enterprises also being a key source of income.
