Zhaoxin Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Zhaoxin Temple is located on the old street of Nushanhu Town, Mingguang City, Anhui Province. It was first built during the Song Dynasty and experienced rises and declines over the centuries along with historical changes. In 2002, with the care and support of the local Party committee and government, the meticulous guidance of the city’s Religious Affairs Bureau, as well as the strong backing of various monks, lay Buddhists, and people from all walks of life — especially the tireless efforts and fundraising endeavors of Venerable Juehui — the once dilapidated Zhaoxin Temple was restored and rebuilt. It has since flourished with incense burning once again. The currently under-construction Mahavira Hall is situated within Zhaoxin Temple, with a total floor area of over 300 square meters, and plans to invest more than one million yuan. The hall is 13 meters deep and 16 meters long, featuring a three-bay semi-sloping hip-and-gable roof style, with a double-eaved front porch, covered by gray tiles, presenting a majestic appearance. It is the first striking sight upon entering Nushanhu Town. Devotees and visitors can worship Buddha and pray for blessings here, and also enjoy the picturesque views of Nushanhu Lake, the Pearl of Eastern Anhui. It is another rare sacred site at Nushanhu Lake.

Nushanhu Town: Nushanhu Town is located in the northeastern part of Mingguang City, 34 kilometers away from downtown Mingguang. The town borders the Huai River to the east, leans against Qili Lake to the south, and is surrounded by Nushanhu Lake on the west and north, facing Jiangsu Province across the lake. It is the only waterborne town in Mingguang City that administers water areas, and also a well-known ancient water town in Eastern Anhui.

The total land and water area under the jurisdiction of Nushanhu Town is 186.7 square kilometers (280,000 mu), of which the land area is 13.3 square kilometers (20,000 mu), accounting for 7% of the total area; the water surface is 173.4 square kilometers, accounting for 93% of the total area and 65% of the 400,000 mu of water area in Mingguang.
