The birthplace site of Zhu Yuanzhang is a cultural heritage protection unit of Mingguang City.

The birthplace site of Zhu Yuanzhang is located in Zhaofu Village, Mingguang Subdistrict Office. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty, classified as an ancient historical site, and covers an area of 21,600 square meters. It is among the second batch of cultural heritage protection units in Tianchang City, with the official announcement number Ming Zheng Ban Mi [2004] No. 74.

Protected Area: A 50-meter radius around the Yuelonggang Stele, 180 meters east-west and 120 meters north-south around Erlang Temple, 3 mu (about 0.2 hectares) at the top of Niaobutan Beach, and a 20-meter buffer zone around the beach.

Emperor Taizu of Ming, Zhu Yuanzhang (1328 – June 24, 1398), also known as Zhu Chongba, Zhu Guorui, Zhu Hongwu, or Emperor Hongwu, was the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty. In 1368, he proclaimed himself emperor in Yingtian Prefecture, establishing the Great Ming with the era name Hongwu. Zhu Yuanzhang overthrew Mongol-led Yuan rule, restored Han Chinese governance, ended ethnic discrimination, promoted equality among ethnic groups, unified China, abolished the position of chancellor, established the Three Departments system to strengthen centralized power, improved government integrity, developed the economy, revived production, and ushered in the Hongwu Era of prosperity. Zhaofu Village: Located to the north of Mingguang City by Dongfeng Lake, Zhaofu Village is divided into northern and southern sections by the Bengning Expressway. The southern section includes seven villager groups—Shiyuan, Shaizhang, Wangying, Songdong, Songxi, Shiwan—situated within the industrial park. The village has a total of 23 villager groups, a population of 5,420, 1,320 households, and 7,920 mu of arable land. The main crops are rice and wheat. The village is currently adjusting its industrial structure to include livestock, poultry, and fish farming. The average per capita income is 3,800 yuan.
