Liu Shaohai’s Residence

Liu Shaohai’s Residence is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Anhui Province.

Liu Shaohai’s Residence is located in Shouxian County, Lu’an City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

In the 26th year of the Guangxu reign (1900), Liu Shaohai, a local resident, established a pawnshop on Beiguoyi Lane, standing opposite Sun Pan’s “Shizhou Pawnshop” on Nanguoyi Lane. The two were known as the “Southern Pawnshop” and “Northern Pawnshop” respectively, and were very famous at the time. Liu Shaohai’s former residence was once used as an outpatient clinic for a traditional Chinese medicine hospital. It is now occupied by students and parents who accompany them.

In 2012, Liu Shaohai’s Residence was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Anhui Province.

Protected area: the entire main structure of the historic building.

Construction control zone: 50 meters outward from the protected area on the east, south, west, and north sides.
