The Former Site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China in Shouxian County is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

It is an important modern historical site and representative building in China. The structure is designed to resemble traditional Chinese architecture, featuring a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof and clay tile roofing. It is currently the earliest discovered brick-and-concrete building in Anhui Province. Constructed in 1924 with funding from American Christian missionaries, it originally served as a gathering place for Christians. In 1928, a special envoy from northern Anhui came to Shouxian and held a revolutionary assembly here to oppose Chiang Kai-shek’s betrayal. This building bears witness to the proceedings of the First Congress of the CPC in Shouxian and conveys historical information about the development of the Shouxian Party organization. Its unique structure marks the transition from post-and-lintel construction to Western-style architecture, making it one of the finest examples of modern architecture in Anhui Province. It provides a scientific basis for studying the characteristics and styles of modern architecture in the Jianghuai region and holds significant historical value.

Protected Area: Extending to the outer side of the surrounding walls on the east and south, and to the outer edge of the foundation walls on the west and north.

Construction Control Zone: A 100-meter buffer zone extending outward from the protected area on the east, south, west, and north.

Hongxing Community: Located in the bustling area of East Street in Shouchun Town, Hongxing Community currently has a population of 21,356, with 9,182 households. The community's Party General Branch has 227 members and oversees six neighborhood Party branches. In recent years, the community has actively strengthened Party member education and management, innovated methods for serving residents, and built a new service center that handles 14 types of services, including the issuance of mobile family planning certificates, greatly facilitating urban residents' affairs. The community currently employs seven staff members and 12 neighborhood management personnel.
