Shucheng Cimu Palace

Cimu Palace is situated on the western section of Longshu Road in Shucheng County. It was constructed at the original site of Guanyin Temple with investment from Hu Pengfei of Taiwan’s Qide Heavy Lifting Co., Ltd. The name originates from Laozi’s quote, “In the beginning of heaven and earth, there was the name of the mother of all things.” The Taoist temple is a three-story structure built in an imperial palace style, with yellow tiles, red walls, intricately carved beams and painted rafters, presenting a magnificent and solemn grandeur. Covering a construction area of 2,000 square meters, it is the largest Taoist temple located within a city in East China. The palace enshrines Taoist deities such as Yuqing Yuan Shi Tianzun, Shangqing Lingbao Tianzun, and Taiqing Daode Tianzun, as well as mythological figures including the Jade Emperor, Queen Mother of the West, Guanyin, Mazu, the Earth God, the City God, and Sun Wukong. Historical figures such as Confucius, Bao Zheng, Wen Tianxiang, Peng Gong, and Shi Gong are also venerated here. Auxiliary structures include the Cihang Hall, Treasure Collection Museum, Root Carving Museum, Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Hall, and office buildings. It serves as a venue that integrates religious activities with tourism and sightseeing.

Cimu Palace is a three-story ancient-style building that displays Taoist scriptures and creates a historical and cultural atmosphere of Taoism for visitors to admire and explore.
