The South Building of Shucheng County Junior High School is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

The South Building of Shucheng County Junior High School is located in Shucheng County, Lu'an City, and dates back to 1929.

The South Building of Shucheng Middle School, originally named the "South Building of Shucheng County Junior High School," was first built in 1929. It was jointly funded and constructed by Mr. Wang Renfeng (a member of the Chinese Revolutionary Alliance and great-grandfather of actress Joey Wong) and the respected local figure Song Zhusu. It now serves as the historical exhibition center of Shucheng Middle School and has been listed as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units.

The South Building of Shucheng Middle School has stood firm through a century of storms and is the school’s most iconic structure, even engraved on its emblem. The school’s history museum and annual calligraphy and painting exhibitions are all held here. Climbing to the top of the South Building gives one a strong sense of history, as if seeing the thin, careworn face of Principal Renfeng, who worried for his country and its people. The South Building remains close to the hearts of Shucheng students in all seasons—weathered but unyielding, ancient yet never distant.

In 2012, the South Building of Shucheng County Junior High School was designated by the People's Government of Anhui Province as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units.
