The Ruins of the Moat is a cultural heritage protection unit in Ma'anshan.

Ruins of the Moat: Located within the jurisdiction of Tishu Neighborhood Committee, Gushu Town, Dangtu County. The total length is 5.21 kilometers. It dates back to the Southern Song Dynasty.

On June 5, 2015, the Ruins of the Moat were designated as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Ma'anshan.

Protection zone: 2 meters outside the structure itself; construction control zone: 5 meters outside the structure itself.

Gushu Town: Known as the "Pearl of the Eastern River," Gushu Town was established in 2004 through the merger of the former Chengguan Town, Weiping Township, parts of Huangshan Township, and parts of Xin Qiao Township. The merged Gushu Town has a population of 130,000 and covers an area of 110 square kilometers. It administers 22 villages and 8 community neighborhood committees, making it the largest administrative town in the county as well as the political, economic, and cultural center of Dangtu County. The ancient urban area was historically known as Gushu and boasts a long history. The town was fortified during the Huangwu era of the Three Kingdoms period and served as the gateway to Jinling, the capital of the Six Dynasties.
