Tuotang Site

The Tuotang Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Ma'anshan City.

Tuotang Site: Located approximately 10 meters southeast of Tuotang Natural Village, Wuxing Administrative Village, Gushu Town, Dangtu County. Dating back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties.

On November 9, 2010, the Tuotang Site was designated as part of the fourth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Ma'anshan City.

Protected area: 10 meters outside the site itself; construction control zone: 20 meters outside the site itself.

Gushu Town: The Pearl of Jiangdong, Gushu Town, was established in 2004 through the merger of the former Chengguan Town, Weiping Township, parts of Huangshan Township, and parts of Xinqiao Township. The merged Gushu Town has a population of 130,000 and covers an area of 110 square kilometers, comprising 22 villages and 8 community neighborhood committees. It is the largest administrative town in the county and also serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of Dangtu County. The ancient town area, historically known as Gushu, boasts a long history. The town was fortified during the Huangwu era of the Three Kingdoms period, serving as the gateway to Jinling (present-day Nanjing), one of China’s Six Ancient Capitals.
