Choutang Site

The Choutang Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Ma'anshan.

Choutang Site: Located in Yangqiao Village, Huangchi Town, Dangtu County. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

On July 28, 2017, the Choutang Site was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Ma'anshan.

Protected area: 10 meters beyond the site’s boundary; construction control zone: within 20 meters beyond the site’s boundary.

Huangchi Town: Huangchi Town in Dangtu County, Anhui Province, is located in the southeastern part of Dangtu County, at the southern end of Dagongwei, 31 kilometers from the county seat. It lies at the confluence of the Shuiyang River, Qingshan River, and Qingyi River, facing the major river port of Wuhu across the river to the southwest. The town covers a total area of 36 square kilometers, with a planned built-up area of 4 square kilometers. It currently has a population of 22,000, and administers 12 village committees and 1 neighborhood committee. The population is 22,000, including 659 Party members, 31 Party branches, and 76 Party groups.
