The Ancient City Wall Ruins are a cultural heritage protection unit of Ma'anshan City.

Ancient City Wall Ruins: Located in the Taiping Prefecture Cultural Park at the northwest corner of the moat in Gushu Town, Dangtu County. Dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

On July 28, 2017, the Ancient City Wall Ruins were designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Ma'anshan City.

Protected area: within 5 meters outside the ruins themselves; construction control zone: within 10 meters outside the ruins themselves.

Gushu Town: The Pearl of Jiangdong, Gushu Town, was established in 2004 through the merger of the former Chengguan Town, Weiping Township, parts of former Huangshan Township, and parts of Xin Qiao Township. The merged Gushu Town has a population of 130,000 and covers an area of 110 square kilometers, comprising 22 villages and 8 community neighborhood committees. It is the largest administrative town in the county and also serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of Dangtu County. The ancient urban area was historically known as Gushu, boasting a long history. The town wall was built during the Huangwu era of the Three Kingdoms period, serving as the gateway to Jinling, the capital of the Six Dynasties. The area features beautiful scenery, rich cultural heritage, numerous historical sites, and profound cultural roots.
