Shuidong Dafu Mansion

Shuidong Dafu Mansion is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

Shuidong Dafu Mansion is located in Shuidong Old Street, Shuidong Town, Xuanzhou District, Xuancheng City. The mansion was originally built during the Ming Dynasty, but the existing structure dates back to the Qing Dynasty. It is a brick-and-timber hall-style building. Originally designed as a five-bay, three-courtyard residence, only a three-bay, three-courtyard section remains today, measuring 11.2 meters in width and 30 meters in depth, covering an area of 312 square meters. The front hall of the house has two levels, with wing rooms on the east and west sides, a corridor in the middle courtyard, and a ancestral worship hall in the rear courtyard. A arched doorway in the front hall leads directly to the central courtyard, which is paved with stone slabs and features a drainage system underneath. To prevent moisture, the flooring of the rooms and wing rooms is approximately 20 centimeters higher than that of the main hall, and is also covered with wooden boards. The entire house employs plain colors and natural wood materials.

Protection boundary: East to Jiaotong Road, South to Xingfu Road, West to Yanhe Road, North to Baoshang Road.

Construction control zone: A 10-meter buffer extending outward from the protection boundary in all four directions—east, south, west, and north.
