The Tomb of Mei Qing is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

The Tomb of Mei Qing is located in Xintian Town, Xuancheng City.

In his early years, Mei Qing’s paintings focused solely on the landscapes and local charm of his hometown. At the age of 32, he began to devote himself wholeheartedly to painting Mount Huangshan, climbing famous peaks such as Tiandu, Lotus Peak, Yunmen, Guangmingding, Wenshu Monastery, Lion Forest, Liandantai, Putilong Pine, and Xihaimen over a hundred times. He became deeply enchanted by this “Number One Marvelous Mountain under Heaven.” From then on, he roamed passionately through the picturesque mountains and rivers, embracing nature with the heart of a poet and expressing it with the sensibility of a painter. He not only composed numerous widely loved and elegant poems but also created countless majestic and exquisite paintings of Huangshan’s ever-changing clouds and misty scenery, rich in artistic conception and endless charm. He forged a unique bond with Huangshan. He once remarked, “After traveling to Huangshan, most of my brushwork has been devoted to depicting Huangshan.”
