The Former Site of the Tongdong District Anti-Japanese Democratic Government (Xie Family Ancestral Hall) is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

The Former Site of the Tongdong District Anti-Japanese Democratic Government (Xie Family Ancestral Hall) was first built in the early spring of 1432 AD, later rebuilt in 1721 AD, and completed in 1723 AD. Having withstood centuries of weathering, the Xie Family Ancestral Hall was renovated in 2007 with approval from the relevant authorities of Zongyang County. The former site of the Tongdong Anti-Japanese Democratic Government is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit and a county-level patriotic education base.

The Former Site of the Tongdong District Anti-Japanese Democratic Government covers an area of 1,251 square meters, consisting of three courtyards with sections including the front hall, middle courtyard, rear hall, bell tower, drum tower, and Baoshu Hall. It features a rational layout, grand scale, high-quality and large-sized architectural components, and exquisitely carved details.

In 2013, the Party Committee and government of Chenyao Lake Town decided to utilize the west courtyard of the Xie Family Ancestral Hall, the former site of the Tongdong Anti-Japanese Democratic Government, to establish the Revolutionary Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall of the Tongdong Anti-Japanese Democratic Government. On June 26, 2014, the exhibition hall was grandly opened at the provincial-level cultural relic protection site — the Xie Family Ancestral Hall. The exhibition is divided into sections including Major Events of the Tongdong Anti-Japanese Democratic Government, A Brief History of the Tongzong Resistance War, A Gallery of Heroes in the Tongdong Resistance War, The Surrender of Japanese Invaders in China, and the Historical Significance of the Tongdong Resistance War.
