Yuexiu Bridge

Yuexiu Bridge is a cultural relic protected at the municipal level in Ningbo.

Yuexiu Bridge is located southeast of Huayu Islet in Moon Lake, Haishu District, Ningbo. Also known as East Lake-Center Bridge, it is one of the historic structures of Moon Lake and was designated as a Haishu District-level cultural relics protection unit in December 1981. The bridge was originally built in the seventh year of the Yuanfeng era of the Song Dynasty (1804), and the existing structure was renovated in the forty-sixth year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1781). It is a stone arch bridge flanked by stone railings and equipped with six balusters, whose capitals are carved with lotus designs. The central part of the bridge is paved with lotus-patterned stone slabs, reflecting the architectural features of Qing Dynasty stone bridges.

The bridge has undergone major repairs that preserved its original appearance through restoration techniques. It holds significant reference value for the study of Ningbo’s stone carving art and bridge construction craftsmanship.
