Dafangyue Mansion

Dafangyue Mansion is a cultural heritage site protected by Haishu District.

Dafangyue Mansion was the former residence of Zhang Yuan, the Provincial Governor of Guizhou during the Ming Dynasty. It was built during the Jiaqing era (1520–1565). Originally, there was an archway near the mansion known as the “Dafangyue Mansion Archway.” The mansion is aligned along a north-south axis and mainly consists of three wooden structures—the main hall, the 0 Hall, and the rear building—along with surrounding walls on the left and right. The total area is 1,200 square meters. It was renovated during the 1998 redevelopment of the eastern part of Moon Lake and once housed the Moon Lake Historical Exhibition.
