Ningbo Tianyi Square stretches east to Chejiao Street, west to Kaiming Street, north along Zhongshan East Road, and south to Yaohang Street, covering a total area of 19.6 hectares. It is a top-tier, large-scale urban commercial plaza in China that seamlessly integrates leisure, commerce, tourism, dining, and shopping. The square features 22 modern architectural complexes with strong European charm. With its airy and transparent design, a shimmering pool, and a 3.6-hectare urban green space, Tianyi Square exudes a modern commercial vibe. It also houses Asia’s largest musical fountain, which spans over 200 meters in length and reaches a maximum spray height of 40 meters, as well as a massive 20-meter-high, 60-meter-wide water screen cinema. On the northwest side of the square, ancient structures such as the nearly 300-year-old Yaohuang Hall and Lingting Pavilion have been preserved. This historic site, originally built by herbal medicine merchants to pray for safety and worship the Medicine Deity, blends harmoniously with the modern commercial environment. Next to Yaohuang Hall, a pair of stone carvings from the Song and Yuan dynasties, unearthed during the square's construction, are protected within a Song-style stele pavilion built specifically for their preservation and public viewing. At that time, 18 ancient silver ingots of research value were also excavated from this “feng shui treasure land,” inscribed with characters such as “Flower Silver” and “Golden Flower Silver,” indicating that this area has long been a hub of commerce.

Tip: The musical fountain performs daily, while the water screen movie shows on Tuesday and Friday evenings.

Dining / Accommodation / Shopping: Currently the largest “one-stop” shopping commercial plaza in China, it features zones for supermarkets, department stores, boutique goods, clothing, children’s products, digital products, hotels, entertainment, dining, and general merchandise. Between the dining area and Tesco Supermarket on the square’s eastern side lies Crystal Street, stretching 180 meters. Transportation: Accessible via bus routes 15, 506, 10, 7, and others.

Tianyi Community: The Tianyi Community area spans east to Yanyue Street, south to Liuting Street, west to Changchun Road, and north to Sanbanqiao Street, covering a total area of approximately 0.26 square kilometers.

The Tianyi Community Residents' Committee was established on June 23, 2001. The jurisdiction includes 2,213 resident households, with a registered population of over 5,800, including around 3,307 permanent residents and more than 1,100 temporary residents. There are 1,218 elderly residents aged 60 and above. The community comprises 32 residential buildings (a mix of older and newer structures) and 105 traditional alleyway residences.
