Ningbo People's Hall

Ningbo People's Hall is a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

Ningbo People's Hall is located at No. 186 Gongyuan Road, Haishu District, Ningbo. In January 2017, it was announced as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units.

Built in 1954, the main structure of the hall faces east and features a brick-concrete structure with exposed brick walls. It adopts a traditional symmetrical central-axis layout, with an east-facing gatehouse topped by a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, supported by bracket arms bearing the roof eaves, and decorated with painted patterns on the eaves.

The People's Hall is the only remaining representative building with national architectural style in the old urban area since 1949. Since the second session of the Ningbo Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in June 1957, all subsequent sessions of the Municipal People's Congress and CPPCC have been held here. It has been an important venue for festive celebrations and conferences in the old city area. The People's Hall is grand in scale, well-preserved, and exhibits typical national architectural characteristics. As the main venue for the Ningbo Municipal People's Congress and CPPCC, it holds significant historical, scientific, and artistic value.
