The ruins of the Héyì Gate Barbican are a protected cultural heritage site of Haishu District.

The ruins of the Héyì Gate Barbican are located on the south bank of the Yao River in Haishu District, east of Jiefang Bridge, and west of the Marriott Hotel. They were designated as part of the fifth batch of Haishu District-level cultural heritage sites in December 2010. The site consists of a north-facing stone wall foundation, with the barbican walls generally running east-west, forming a convex layout.

According to records: The Héyì Gate was built in the 20th year of the Zhi Zheng era of the Yuan Dynasty (1360), also known as the Salt Warehouse Gate. It was one of the six ancient city gates of Ningbo. In the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), it was demolished along with the other five gates, and was rediscovered during archaeological excavations in 2003.
