The teaching building of Yinxian County Women's Middle School

The teaching building of Yinxian County Women's Middle School is a protected cultural heritage site in Haishu District.

The teaching building of Yinxian County Women's Middle School is located on the eastern bank of Zhuzhou in Moon Lake, Haishu District, Ningbo City. It was completed in October 1932 and was designated as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage sites in Haishu District in December 2010. The main structure faces west and is situated eastward, with the main entrance opening to the north. On either side of the entrance are semi-circular Roman column decorations. There is a west-facing side door on the eastern side of the teaching building, and inside the main entrance is a spiral staircase with an iron railing. On the western exterior wall is erected the “Inscription for the New Construction of the Yinxian County Women’s Middle School Building” (November 1932, authored and calligraphed by Sha Wenruo). The text describes how figures such as Chiang Kai-shek, Du Yuesheng, Chen Bulei, and Jin Tingsun donated funds for the school expansion at the time. In the 1980s, the building underwent renovation, and its exterior walls were treated with a stone-sprayed finish.
