Lanbixuan Martyrs' Cemetery

The Lanbixuan Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural relic protection unit of Haishu District.

The Lanbixuan Four Martyrs' Cemetery is located at the foot of Pingfeng Mountain in Lukuo Natural Village, Zhàngxī Village, Zhāngshuǐ Town, Haishu District, facing west toward Turning Head Rock. During his lifetime, Lanbixuan served as the commander of the First Battalion of the Third Detachment of the East Zhejiang Guerrilla Column. He died a heroic death in the Dayu Battle in Yuyao in November 1943. After the battle, he was buried together with nine other martyrs who died in combat, by local villagers, beneath Pingfeng Rock. In 1958, villagers reburied the martyrs near the stone carving of "Heart of Siming Mountain." In 1997, the Yinzhou County Party Committee and County Government reconstructed the martyrs’ cemetery. The cemetery covers an area of approximately 800 square meters, with retaining walls on three sides and four terraces, divided into the burial site, worship platform, pavilion, flower beds, and flower stands. It is adjacent to the stone carving of “Heart of Siming Mountain” on the left, where a memorial stele for donations to the Zhàngxī Township Poverty Alleviation and Relief Fund also stands on the left side of the flower bed. In 2010, it was announced as the ninth batch of district-level cultural relic protection units in Yinzhou District, and in 2016, it was reassigned to Haishu District following adjustments to Ningbo’s administrative divisions.
