Qiweng Bridge

Qiweng Bridge is a cultural heritage protection unit of Ningbo.

Qiweng Bridge is located in Qiweng Residential Area, Haishu District, Ningbo, south of Yongshui Bridge. In September 1992, it was announced as one of the first municipal-level cultural heritage protection sites in Ningbo. Stretching east-west across Nantang River, the bridge was originally built during the Song Dynasty. The current structure was reconstructed in the 20th year of the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty. It is a single-arch stone bridge, with its arch ring built using a border-edged longitudinal bonded technique. The tops of the bridge's balustrades feature carvings such as lions, elephants, upward-facing lotuses, and double lotuses, while the sides of the bridge are adorned with water-controlling beasts.

The bridge holds certain value for the study of the history of bridge architecture in Ningbo.
