Jin Mansion

Jin Mansion is a municipal-level cultural heritage site in Ningbo.

Jin Mansion is located at No. 21 Zhenming Lane, Haishu District, Ningbo. In September 1999, it was designated as one of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage sites in Ningbo. Built during the Republican era, the surviving western section features blue-gray walls with cement joints, an interior adorned with a plaster ceiling, and coffered beams decorated with carved patterns of traditional Chinese operas. The doors and windows have a more Western style, making it an outstanding example of modern architecture that blends Chinese and Western elements.

The mansion was originally the residence of Jin Tingsun, a businessman during the Republican era whose ventures spanned hospitals, textiles, finance, and hardware. In 1934, he was elected as the first chairman of Eastern Zhejiang Commercial Bank.
