The Tu Family Villa

The Tu Family Villa is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tu Family Villa is located at No. 16 Aohua Lane, Haishu District, Ningbo. In September 1999, it was designated as one of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage conservation sites in Ningbo. It is a Qing Dynasty building. The main structure faces east and sits west, with brick carvings on the lintel of the main gate; the ceremonial gate is archway-style, featuring carved phoenix and peony motifs; the main building has a double-eaved flush-gable roof, while the rear building is small yet exquisite, with beams and ceilings adorned with carved scenes of figures and stories. The residence is generally well-preserved, constructed with refined and sizable materials, making it one of the finest examples of late Qing Dynasty architecture in Ningbo.
