No. 7, Zhongying Lane, Zhang Residence

The Zhang Residence is located at No. 7, Zhongying Lane, Haishu District, Ningbo. In September 1999, it was designated as one of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage conservation sites in Ningbo. The main structure faces east and was built during the Republican era. The main building features a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, wooden spindles on the railings, and gable walls topped with cement in the style of a Guanyin hood. There is a garden behind the building; currently, aside from a well that remains, rockeries and other features have been destroyed. A pathway in the garden leads to No. 9. The residence uses large-scale materials and exhibits refined architectural details, offering significant reference value for the study of Ningbo’s architectural style during the late Qing and early Republican periods.
