Hai Shu Ye Residence

The Ye Residence is located at the intersection of Yongshou Street and Xiaowen Street in Haishu District, Ningbo, specifically at No. 38 and 39 Yongshou Street, and No. 95, 97, 99, and 101 Xiaowen Street. In September 1999, it was designated as one of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection sites in Ningbo. The building faces south and is situated to the north, with its structure largely intact. The layout is well-organized and the structure is imposing, with stone carvings on the side gate, showcasing distinct early Qing Dynasty architectural features typical of eastern Zhejiang residential buildings.

The Ye Residence was originally the home of Chen Mingfu, a sub-selected official and Magistrate of Changle County during the 20th year of the Kangxi reign in the Qing Dynasty (1681). It was later sold along with the land to Ye Ji, the Magistrate of Shanghai County and a native of Dinghai.
