Xu Residence on Yanyue Street

The Xu Residence on Yanyue Street is located at No. 77 Yanyue Street, Haishu District, Ningbo. In August 2003, it was designated as one of the third batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection sites in Ningbo. Built during the Qing Dynasty, the building faces south with its back to the north and features a front porch. The porch has plain beams, and the tops of the columns are adorned with bracket sets. The roof is covered with small blue tiles in a flush-gable style, and the wooden frame uses a post-and-lintel construction. The main gate faces east and opens onto Yanyue Street, with the floor fully paved in bluestone slabs.

According to research, the owner of the Xu Residence was a descendant of Xu Sidong, a renowned scholar of the Qing Dynasty. The "Collected Works of Xu Sidong" was published at this residence.
