Yanshou Hall

Yanshou Hall is located at No. 45, Lane 191, Zhongshan West Road, Haishu District, Ningbo. In August 2003, it was designated as one of the third batch of municipal-level cultural heritage conservation sites in Ningbo. This Republican-era building faces south and is built in an irregular quadrangle style. The original main entrance faced west (now sealed off), featuring a pebble-stone doorway frame adorned with carved floral patterns and inscriptions indicating the year of construction.

According to research, this hall was once the residence of the owner of “Yiyan Hall,” the largest department store in downtown Ningbo during the Republican period. Liu Yanshou Hall is a Sino-Western architectural fusion structure from the Republican era and holds certain reference value for studying the development history of architecture in the Ningbo area.
