Sun's Residence on Guangren Street

Sun's Residence on Guangren Street is located at No. 12, Sunjia Lane, No. 40, Guangren Street, Haishu District, Ningbo City. In August 2003, it was designated as one of the third batch of municipal-level cultural heritage conservation sites in Ningbo. It is a traditional building from the late Qing Dynasty. According to the "Yinxian County Annals," Sunjia Lane was formerly known as Sunjia Alley. The Sun family migrated here during the Ming Dynasty's Wanli era, grew into a prominent clan, and came to be known as the Chun De Tang (Pure Virtue Hall) Sun family. The Sun's Residence covers a relatively large area, features tall structures, and boasts exquisite carvings. It serves not only as a physical example for studying the architectural style of late Qing Dynasty buildings in the Ningbo region but also provides a reference for researching the development of influential families in Ningbo since the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
