Yu Family Ancestral Hall in Ningbo

The Yu Family Ancestral Hall is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Yu Family Ancestral Hall is situated at No. 159–161 Nanjiao Road and No. 20 Echanggen, Haishu District, Ningbo City. It is a late Qing Dynasty structure and was designated as part of the fourth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage sites in Ningbo in April 2005. The complex includes a front three-courtyard section, the main ancestral hall, and rear auxiliary buildings, with a total floor area of 828 square meters. The front three-courtyard section comprises two side wings and a main house; the side wings feature single-eave gable roofs with two pillars and three rafters each. The main house has a single-eave flush gable roof and spans five bays. The ancestral hall also has a single-eave flush gable roof and covers five bays. The front auxiliary room has a single-eave flush gable roof, three bays, and three pillars with three rafters. The rear auxiliary room also features a single-eave flush gable roof, three bays, and six pillars with seven rafters.

This ancestral hall is relatively well-preserved, with intricate carvings, and represents a typical example of a late Qing Dynasty wooden ancestral structure, holding certain cultural and historical value.
