Chenghuai Academy is located at No. 60 Nanjiao Road, Haishu District, Ningbo. Chenghuai Academy is located at No. 60 Nanjiao Road, Haishu District, Ningbo. It is a late Qing Dynasty building and was designated as one of the fourth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection sites in Ningbo in April 2005. The main structure faces east and has the four Chinese characters “澄怀学堂” (Chenghuai Academy) above its doorway. According to local oral accounts, this building was later used as “Huiqing Hospital” before being sold to a family surnamed Wu. A boundary marker on the current wall bears the inscription “Wu Wenfang Boundary,” and the Wu family once operated a funeral garment shop in Shanghai.

The academy is relatively well-preserved and serves as an example for studying the development of modern education in Ningbo.
