Tomb of Jin Pu

The Tomb of Jin Pu is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tomb of Jin Pu is located on the southern slope of Jinnanji Mountain in Simingshan Village, Jishigang Town, Haishu District, Ningbo. The tomb was built during the Ming Dynasty.

The tomb and its stone carvings have suffered severe damage, but the tomb passage and overall burial structure remain relatively intact. According to on-site investigations of the site, the surviving burial consists of three chambers. The enclosing wall at the rear of the tomb is well-preserved, measuring 7.8 meters in length and 1.65 meters in height. The stone pillars and slabs on three sides of the tomb are adorned with lotus leaf patterns, featuring exquisite and clear carvings. Inside the tomb passage, there are two memorial archways and three worship platforms. Both archways are damaged, each having two remaining square-shaped pillars with rounded corners, which still show tenon joints. The three worship platforms decrease in length from front to back, measuring 6 meters, 5 meters, and 4 meters respectively. The foundation of the entrance gate with its eight-character wall remains intact. In front lies a spirit way that once held stone statues, approximately 80 meters long and 15 meters wide. On the nearby slopes of the spirit way, remnants of stone figures can still be found, including stone sheep, stone lions, stone horses, a kund stone, and fragments of stone railing panels. These stone statues are vividly expressive, realistically shaped, and exquisitely carved, demonstrating a high level of artistic craftsmanship. In May 2005, it was designated as a cultural relics protection site at the Yinzhou District level, and following the 2016 administrative division adjustment of Ningbo, it was placed under the jurisdiction of Haishu District.
