Hongshiyan Memorial Archway

The Hongshiyan Memorial Archway is located in Miaojia'ao Mountain, Simingshan Village, Jishigang Town, Haishu District, Ningbo City. It is a Ming Dynasty structure.

This memorial archway is a two-pillared, single-bay "廿"-shaped stone archway. Facing south and situated on a flat area within the mountain hollow, it has an overall width of 2 meters, pillar height of 2.76 meters, and a cross-section measuring 31×31 cm, with chamfered edges each 6.5 cm. The proportions are sturdy, with mortise holes remaining on the tops of the pillars, while the upper stone components have been completely lost.

The space between the two pillars is spanned by a lintel, which is 31 cm high and 11.5 cm thick. The carved stone at the extending ends of the lintel on both sides has been damaged.

Based on the local geographical environment and the architectural style of the archway, it is believed to have been a memorial archway in front of a tomb. In May 2005, it was designated as a cultural relics protection site at the Yinzhou District level, and after the 2016 administrative division adjustment of Ningbo City, it was placed under the jurisdiction of Haishu District.
